Price adjustments for individual contacts
Sometimes you have different prices for different contacts. You may give a barn with a lot of horses a discount on trims. Or you may have a client that is too far away so they pay a surcharge on your prices.
Whatever the reason, you don’t have to remember or manually add those discounts or surcharges manually every time you invoice those contacts, or create different versions of a service with different prices just for those contacts. Best Farrier does that for you via the contact price adjustments.
Once you create an adjustment for a service, whenever you create a new invoice for that contact, the app will automatically apply it and show the amount on the invoice line item.
To see the price adjustments for a contact, tap on “Price adjustments” on the contact’s detail page. If you’re on a phone, you may need to scroll down to the bottom of the page.
The adjustments list page shows all the adjustments for the contact you’re viewing. Each line has an icon on the left showing the type of adjustment (amount or percentage), the service it applies to, and the adjustment. To add a new adjustment, tap on the top bar. Tapping on an adjustment on the list lets you edit or delete that adjustment.
When adding or editing an adjustment, tapping on the “service” field will give you a list of all services. Pick the one you want the adjustment to apply to. The type of adjustment can be either an amount (for example, $10) or a percentage (10%). Both can be either positive, which would mean this is a surcharge, or negative if this is a discount. For example, to give a $10 discount for trims, you should pick “Trim” from the service list, chose the button for the type “amount” and enter “-10” on the “amount” field.
When you’re done with your changes, tap on “save” on the top bar.
