Logging in and out of Best Farrier

Very, very important note

You can only use Best Farrier on one device at a time. You can switch devices at any time, but you must first log out of the device you’re using now. See “logging out to switch devices“, below.

How to log in

When you subscribe to Best Farrier, we generate a username and password for you, and send it to the e-mail address you used during the subscription process.

In order to log in to Best Farrier, you will need to use that username and password. Just type them on the log in screen and tap on the Login button. Your phone must be connected to the internet for you to log in.

Logging in for the first time

The first time you log in with your account, the app will create a clean database for you (with just a few items like sample services and appointment types) and set up your remote storage space in our servers.

It will also ask you if you want to import the Contacts from your phone. You can do that at this time, later via the Settings page, or not at all.

After that, you’re ready to start setting up your app!

Logging out to switch devices

You don’t ever have to log out if you don’t want to. Best Farrier remembers you, so even if you shut down the app or your phone, it will start up and go to the Home page without the need to log in again. The only time you do need to log out is when you want to use Best Farrier on another device. Maybe you got home and want to use it on your iPad. Or maybe you bought a new phone.

You can switch devices any time you want, but to make sure all your data is backed up to the cloud storage in order to transfer it to the new device, you first must log out of the device you’re currently using. Your phone needs to be connected to the internet for you to be able to log out.

Remember, the app can only be used on one device at a time. Someone logging in on another device will force you out of yours, and if your data hasn’t been backed up recently you will lose the work you’ve done since the last backup. Most of the time, your data is automatically backed up every 15 minutes, but if you are in an area with no cell signal, the app can’t connect to the internet to perform the backup.

In order to avoid the possibility of losing any unsaved data, make sure you have an internet connection, then log out by tapping the “More” menu on the bottom bar and tapping “Logout” on the popup menu. Best Farrier will back up your data to the cloud storage and make sure it’s safely stored, and then you can log into the other device to continue working there.
