Adding or editing a horse
The add/edit page
You can add a new horse by tapping on the top bar of the horse list page.
To edit an existing horse, open the horse details and then tap on the top bar.
Adding a new horse and editing an existing one work the same way. The only difference is that when you’re adding a new horse, all the fields are empty, and when editing the fields are filled out with the existing horse information.
Each field has a description that tells you what it is, like “Name“, or “Interval between visits“. Just tap on each field and add or change its contents. Some fields are boxes, which you can tap to check or uncheck, some are dropdown lists, in which you select a value from a list of fixed values.
If you check the “Include comments in appointments” box, any comments you enter in the “Comments” field will be shown in appointments for that horse. It’s a handy way to remember things like if the horse doesn’t crosstie, or if there are some special instructions for that horse that you have to follow every time.
When you’re done with your changes, tap “save” on the top bar to save the horse. If you don’t want to save anything, just tap the back arrow on the top bar to go back.
How do I board a horse somewhere else?
If you tap on “Boarded at” and the list doesn’t show anything other than “Home”, that means you forgot to mark your contacts as stables. Save the horse you’re working on, then go to the Contacts page, edit the contact you want to board the horse at, and check their “Contact is a stable” box. After that, edit the horse again and the stable should show up on the list.
