We just released version 1.6.3 of the Best Farrier app! if you haven’t updated yet, you can get the new version using the buttons below, or tapping on the update message on the app’s home screen.
Here are the new features we added in this new release:
You can organize your contacts into groups
We added color-coded “contact groups” to the app so you can categorize your contact list, allowing you to easily tell apart different types or groups of contacts on the contact list, by their colors. Each contact can be assigned to one group or be left unassigned (in that case the icon uses the app’s default blue-gray color).
Tapping on the icon on the top lets you filter the list by group. Note that the icon takes on the color of the group you selected, so you can tell the list is filtered.
The group colors are also shown in the schedule screen as a colored line on the left border of the appointments. This is especially useful if you use groups to divide up your contacts into regions or routes, so you can use them for travel planning since you can tell who is in the same region at a glance. The group descriptions and colors are also displayed in the appointment detail and editing screens under the contact info.
You can create contact groups by going to the Settings screen. To assign a contact to a group, edit the contact and pick the group at the bottom of the edit screen.
You can export your data
Another new feature is the export utility, which allows you to export your business data so you can use it in other apps, like for example, a spreadsheet. The data is emailed in CSV files that contain basic contact, horse, schedule (future appointments only) and invoice information.
You can find the Export utility in the Settings screen.
