Another update adding a couple of user suggestions and taking care of a couple of bugs reported by our users. We really appreciate the feedback.

So here’s what is in this version:

E-mail fields now accept multiple addresses

You can now type in multiple e-mail addresses on any e-mail field on the app, but it’s especially useful in the contacts. If your barn manager wants you to send reminders or invoices with copies to other e-mail addresses, just add them to the barn contact e-mail field, separating each address with a comma, like this:

maincontact@barn.xyz,secondcontact@barn.xyz,thirdcontact@barn.xyz

Automatically selected services for the horse

When adding invoice items using the “Add horse” button (the one with the horse head), the app now selects the last recurring services done for that horse and automatically checks them, since they’re the most likely services that are going to be invoiced for. If you want to turn this behavior off, just tap on More > Settings & Tools > App settings, scroll down to the Invoice and Payment Preferences section and uncheck the Pre-check recurring services box. Alternatively, for one-off charges like a farm call, you can use the “Add service” button (the one with the horseshoe) when entering the charge on the invoice instead.

Full service list in the horse history screen

If you broke your services up in very detailed charges (for example, if you charge separately for trimming the foot, then to nail the shoe, making new shoes or resetting them, etc), the history entries created by the invoices (the ones with padlocks on them) sometimes could get cut off. Now you can tap on those entries to see the full list of services for that date.

Other visual improvements and/or corrections

We now flash a quick message on the bottom of the screen when you long-press an appointment to move it to let you know you’re in moving mode. As usual, the other appointments on the screen turn gray to indicate it, but if the appointment was the only one on that particular week, previously there would be no visual indications that the process was started and that could be a little confusing. The circle around today’s date now also changes to gray during a move.

The vertical spacing on the calendar screen was tweaked to be a little more consistent between devices with different screen resolutions and orientation.

Fixes

We also fixed a couple of issues:

The schedule screen would sometimes display the all-day appointments, like holidays or birthdays, in 2 days instead of one, starting the day before. This seems to be a iPhone/iPad issue only, but it’s fixed now. Also, if you have multiple copies of the same all-day appointment (like the same holiday on more than one calendar in your phone), the app now only displays it once.

There was an issue with Android phones that wouldn’t let users reset their password using the link on the app’s login screen. It was caused by a change in the permission requirements for the latest updates in the Android system, but it’s also fixed now.

And except for some internal changes to comply with App/Play store requirements, that’s all we have for now. As always, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please get in touch with us via our support contact page.
